Service Provided: Lead abatement via abrasive blasting (abrasive sandblasting and industrial painting) and apply new paint system

Dalco By Brand Safway’s QP2 certification recognizes capabilities as an industrial paint contractor to safely remove and properly manage hazardous coating removal in the field. This certification coupled with our experience in the corrosion maintenance industry made for a successful venture in to the new infrastructure maintenance market.

Completed in 1943 in Lethbridge AB, the dual truss Oldman River bridge spans over 800ft.

Dalco provided corrosion solutions on the following:
Abrasive sandblasting and painting the bottom flange on girder 1 and 2 after mechanical work is completed.
Abrasive sandblasting and painting outside webbing of girder 1, and all overhand brackets and attached angle supports.
Abrasive sandblasting areas (290mm x 1010mm squares) where top flange rehab base plates will be fastened.
Abrasive sandblasting and painting floor beam cope corners.
Pack Rust Mitigation – abrasive blast and coat with penetrant and caulking all pack rust areas on girders 1 and 2.
