Industrial Insulation Services
Dalco began offering industrial insulation services in the early 1990’s in response to industry demand for single source services. The Dalco team has been involved in various phases of industry development and has helped the insulation industry evolve to what it is today.
Dalco has assisted in the development of best practices and processes in such areas as craft training, quality, safety management, and continuous process improvement. As members of the National Insulation Association and regional associations such as the Southwest Insulation Contractors Association, our personnel serve on the boards and committees of these organizations that represent the insulation industry.
Dalco offers the following Industrial Insulation services:
- Demolition / Installation
- Cryogenic Systems
- High Temperature Systems
- Removable Insulation Blankets
- Standing Seam Panels

Industrial Pipe and Equipment Insulation Details
From reducing energy costs and controlling noise to fire safety, industrial insulation helps your operation run more efficiently. Dalco’s industrial insulation services can be the best solution for your facility. Whether you operate a refinery, chemical, or tank terminal, we help keep your facility operating in its most efficient mode.
Dalco’s insulation services includes the following: installation of High Temperature Systems, Cryogenic Systems, Removable Blankets, Standing Seam Panels for Tanks, and Weatherproofing. Plus we also have soundproofing insulation.
Dalco is a member of the National Insulation Association. NIA is a not-for-profit trade association representing both the merit (open shop) and union contractors, distributors, laminators, fabricators, and manufacturers that provide thermal insulation, insulation accessories, and components to the commercial, mechanical, and industrial markets throughout the nation. Since 1953, the northern Virginia–based association has been the voice of the insulation industry and is dedicated to keeping the commercial and industrial insulation industry up to date on the latest industry trends and technologies.
High Temperature Systems
A high-temperature system is defined as any system operating above 350°F. Are you wasting energy (and therefore dollars) at your facility? Dalco can conduct a heat loss appraisal to show you exactly where you need upgrades to your insulation systems.
If you are losing heat somewhere in your process, we offer high-quality removable blanket insulation solutions for steam system components and high temperature applications.
Over time, thermal insulation is routinely damaged or removed from components such as gate valves, steam traps, and strainers due to component maintenance or repair. You’re aware that these components are usually never reinsulated. We have a removable insulation jacket that can be designed for dry or wet applications. The jacket is manufactured to insulate pipe components including but not limited to gate valves, globe valves, PRVs, steam traps, unions, and flanges.
Besides saving money from the loss of heat, our removable insulation blanket systems can also decrease replacement costs, and simply keep your equipment running efficiently.
Cryogenic Systems
The use of cryogenics and low-temperature refrigeration is becoming more widespread across many industries. The food industry, transportation, energy, and medical applications require that cryogenic liquids be stored, handled, and transferred from one point to another. To minimize heat leaks into storage tanks and transfer lines, high-performance materials are needed to provide high levels of thermal isolation. Dalco has the complete knowledge of thermal insulation that is a key part of enabling the development of efficient, low-maintenance cryogenic systems. The need for insulation is never a direct one. What is important is to save money on the energy bill or to be able to effectively control a system. Thermal insulation systems therefore provide energy conservation and allow system control for process systems.
Standing Seam Panels for Tanks
Dalco installs Standing Seam Panels for Tanks with a variety of insulation and metal options to serve engineer specifications. Our systems are engineered to be durable, energy efficient, cost effective and durable for both hot and cold tank storage applications. Plus we minimize down time as the insulation can be installed without taking the tank out of service.
As in our other core services, Dalco’s commitment to high quality products and efficient, friendly service comes with every industrial insulation project we do.
Spray polyurethane foam
Commonly referred to as SPF, a spray applied foam insulation that begins as 2 liquids, goes through various pieces of equipment and then is mixed at the end of the spraygun, applied to the surface and expands many times its original volume. SPF formulas can be tweaked to have many different physical properties depending on the use desired. For example, the same basic raw materials can make an insulation foam that is semi-rigid and soft to the touch, also create a high density roofing foam that is resistant to foot traffic and water.
Why Dalco
Dalco is able to provide customers with key historical information regarding past projects, as well as agreed upon KPI’s throughout a project. This information helps ensure everyone involved in a project is focused on the schedule, following a clearly defined critical path and maintaining important priorities. These details provide the capability to identify and proactively eliminate any potential issues. Dalco tracks and reports: equipment, location and inventory; labor schedules; inspection information; performance; timetables and costs. Every aspect of a project is carefully monitored and measured to ensure that we deliver clear visible value in the most efficient manner possible – and this is how:
- Engage customers and contractors during the planning and scheduling process.
- Utilize a disciplined workforce planning methodology to maximize tool time.
- Leverage of the largest engineering staff in the industry to design the most efficient solutions.
- Provide the largest equipment inventory and offering more products and services.
- Offering a solid estimate up front and monitoring costs throughout a project.
- Provide industry-specific and experienced management and training.
- Minimize safety exposure hours.
- Apply the experience and knowledge of our award-winning safety team and a dedicated training university.
- Driving the project schedules whenever possible.
