Description of Project and Value Added:
The Client was seeking a qualified contractor to assists in with the installation of the newly fabricated Compressor Station located near Carrot Creek, AB. At the Client’s request, Dalco provided a crew to complete the abrasive blasting and coating of various field welds in accordance with TC Energy specifications and service requirements.
All above-ground systems were prepared in accordance with SSPC-SP6 Commercial Blast Cleaning and coated with a 2-coat system – epoxy primer and a gloss aliphatic polyurethane topcoat, while all insulated and below-ground systems were abrasive blasted in accordance with SSPC-SP10 Near-White Blast Cleaning and coated with a two coat system- Two-component, epoxy phenolic tank lining and 2 a part epoxy coating respectively and in compliance with CSA Z245.30-14 Section 6.1 (FC, 1 FC3, and FC7 Systems).
